“I often end sentences with a comma, or no
punctuation mark at all, and sometimes begin a
paragraph without capitalizing, etc. The idea is to
preserve some of the things that happen spontaneously
at the moment of writing. My journal is a record of
the present moment, and the mistakes I make (I
sometimes preserve my typos) are part of what's
happening now, as I write...”
