Writing Description:
THE ROAD IS ALL embodies the author’s Journal writings throughout the 1990s as she prepares these and other manuscripts for preservation beyond her lifetime. She tells her “old compañero” of her engagement in congregational life, and of her service on the local Interfaith Council and as docent for the Huguenot Historical Society. In her thoughts about works she reads, concerts, plays and lectures she attends and her visits to museums, she contemplates aging and divestiture, the strife and suffering on this planet, the joys of grandparenthood and her intimations of alternate realities with ever-broadening and deepening social, historical and spiritual consciousness.
